Olya is happy in her marriage with Kozyrev, a successful businessman. After Kozyrev's departure for a business trip, Olya goes to seea friendwho is in trouble. Fortunately, Vitaly is close by, and he helps Olya take her friend to the hospital.He is supportive and caring, and helps with the funeral arrangements. Olya and Vitaly become friends, but Olya decides to make Vitaly understand that they cannot be more than friends. But soon,an infuriated Kozyrev hurls photographs of Olya and Vitaly at his wife and demands a divorce. Olya tries to explain to her husband that he is mistaken, but Vitaly, who could dispel Kozyrev's misunderstanding of the situation, has disappeared. Kozyrev now wants to throw Olya out of his life. Soon Olya realizes why. Her name is Tatyana, and she and Kozyrev are engaged in a long-standing relationship. Olya finds Vitaly at a cafe where he and Olya once met—with his wife and daughter. Vitaly works for an agency that solves problems forwealthy clients. It turns out Kozyrev had set outto divorce Olya without giving her any of his assets. The scheme is simple, but popular. Olya decides to strip Vitaly of what she herself has lost: family, hope for happiness, belief in love. Olya does not know that Vitaly wants to meet her, to fix everything...
