Natasha, a lonely 30-year-old woman, accidentally runs into Oleg, her first love. Oleg is an alcoholic and has lost his job. He tells Natasha that a month ago his wife drove him out, so he started drinking heavily. Natasha is surprised that Oleg, who once dreamed of attending the conservatory and became a veterinarianis now an alcoholic. Oleg explains that he injured his hand, which put an end to his musical career. Natasha’s mother and a distant relative, Aunt Dusya, decide to save Natasha from Oleg. When Natasha and Oleg are out,Aunt Dusya, places empty alcohol bottles around Natasha's apartmentand hides Natasha's jewellery in Oleg's jacket. In the evening Natasha and Oleg quarrel. Oleg leaves. A year later Natasha is walking in the park, pushing her sleeping daughter in a pushchair. She can hear the sounds of a musical ensemble. Natasha recognises the "Homeless Blues". And then she sees the musical ensemble onstage—Oleg is playing the piano. A boy is playing the guitar nearby. Natasha guesses that this is Oleg's son, and she assumes that he returned to his family. She tries to sneak out of the crowd of listeners. But Oleg notices her, runs after her, and ... makes Natasha an offer. Natasha is in shock, but quickly comes to her senses—she agrees...
