Larissa is a strong woman and she has long been accustomed to coping with any problems she encounters. She is raising a difficult teenaged son on her own, she earns money to support them both, and she has long been desperate to find her own happiness. Larissa's neighbour, wishing to take possession of her house, introduces Larissa to her nephew Oleg, a real martinet. Tired of her endless loneliness, Larissa tries to build a relationship with him, but the conspiracy is soon revealed... Unexpectedly, Larissa witnesses the police detain a man without documents on the street. Having managed to reach the stranger, Larissa helps him free himself and pays his fine for him. The next day, he appears at her home, but not to repay his debt—he asks Larissa if he can stay the night at her house. She drives him away in anger, but further events radically change her attitude towards this manwho appearedin her life so mysteriously...
